Becky Oehlers is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, and mentor.

She has worked as a singer, voice teacher, horn player, portrait photographer, graphic designer and Senior Design Team member for the papercrafting industry. As a singer, Becky has toured the world and garnered acclaim as both a soloist and a chamber musician with such groups as Opera Philly, Chanticleer, The Antioch Chamber Ensemble, and The Crossing Choir of Philadelphia. With The Crossing, hailed by the New York Times as “America’s Most Astonishing Choir,” she has traveled the globe and performed on some of the world’s largest stages. Her work with The Crossing has afforded her the opportunity to work alongside such composers as Pulitzer-Prize winners Caroline Shaw, John Luther Adams and David Lang along with other luminaries such as Ted Hearne, Judd Greenstein, Ayanna Woods, David T. Little, Louis Andriessen, Michael Gordon and Julia Wolfe. Becky has made appearances with the LA Philharmonic, NY Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), and The Venice Baroque Orchestra. She has worked with popular music artists such as YEBBA and Elvis Perkins, and has sung in festivals such as the Mostly Mozart Festival, Noon to Midnight Festival, SONiC Festival, and Big Ears Festival. As a 17-year member of The Crossing Choir, Becky has been nominated for a GRAMMY six times, and has taken home two GRAMMY Awards for Best Choral Performance. As a voice teacher, Becky has mentored many students into successful musical careers. She held a voice faculty position at Drexel University for 25 years, and recently retired from that position. This has allowed her to dedicate all of her time to teaching and mentoring students of all levels and ages in her home studio in Collingswood, New Jersey. She spends most of her free time with her wonderful husband, John, a high school German teacher, and their two grown daughters, Emma and Sophia. She writes music when time allows, and loves to share her small rescue dog, Krampus, with her students in the studio.
